PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Chicago Bears wide receiver Byron Pringle was arrested Saturday in Florida on reckless driving charges.
Pringle, 28, was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol after he was pulled over for doing doughnuts on a public road, ESPN reported. He was charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.
According to the arrest report, Pringle was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, with an adult in the front passenger seat and a male child in the left rear seat. During the arrest, Pringle ignored commands and was “verbally confrontational,” ESPN reported.
Pringle signed as a free agent with the Bears last month, WLS reported. His contract is worth $4.125 million. Prior to the Bears, Pringle played for the Kansas City Chiefs.
