Three people familiar with the matter who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity confirmed to the AP that a congressional briefing was offered to the “Gang of Eight.”

The Gang of Eight includes Republican and Democratic leaders of the House, the Senate and both intelligence committees.

Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday on “Meet the Press,” that he expects a briefing on the classified documents by the end of the week.

The briefing is not likely to include any of the documents seized, according to the sources.

The briefing comes after Biden, Trump and Pence were all found to have documents marked “classified” at their homes.

Classified documents were discovered in the Penn Biden Center – a space used by Biden after his time as vice president – on Nov. 2 by Biden’s attorneys. The existence of those documents was not announced publicly until January.

More documents were found on two searches of Biden’s home in Wilmington, Del.

A later search of his beach home in Rehoboth Beach, Del., tuned up no classified documents, according to Biden’s attorneys, but investigators did take some notes found there, according to the AP.

On Aug. 8, federal agents executed a search warrant at Trump’s home in Florida, the Mar-a-Lago resort. Thirteen boxes of documents – some stamped with classified markings – were discovered. The 13 boxes were known to officials who had tried to recover them in June.

The boxes taken that day were more than twice the amount produced on June 3 in response to a grand jury subpoena calling for all of the documents Trump had when he left the White House that might be classified.

On Jan. 24, it was announced that documents had been discovered at Pence’s home in Indiana the week before and turned over to the FBI.
