VIDEO: South Tulsa apartment building on fire

TULSA, Okla. — A fire is out at an apartment building near 61st and Memorial.

The Tulsa Fire Department (TFD) and EMSA crews arrived to Coventry Park Apartments in south Tulsa around 6 a.m.

TFD said 80 firefighters including 25 cadets in training worked to put out the flames.

Three people were injured. One person was injured jumping out of their apartment, and two other people have burns.

There is significant damage to the building. It’s unclear how many residents are now displaced.

The cause is under investigation.

Jacob Wills lived inside the burned building in the middle of the complex. He told FOX23, “I watched my neighbor jump out of the window, and her other, her wife, was screaming help me. I came to the shop here and kicked the door down and got a ladder, I got her down.” Wills isn’t sure what, if any of his belongings remain. Lots of personal items were seen piled up outside of the building Thursday.

Red Cross was also seen assisting people at the complex.
