Great teachers make a lasting impact — and now, Oklahoma Central Foundation is giving the community an opportunity to recognize educators who go above and beyond for their students.
Through its 10 Teachers, 10 Days program, Oklahoma Central Foundation will select 10 Oklahoma teachers to each receive $1,000 to put toward classroom supplies, student needs or meaningful learning experiences.
Nominations are open now, and anyone can nominate a teacher who has made a difference. Parents, students, grandparents, coworkers, school leaders, Oklahoma Central Credit Union members, community members and teachers themselves are all encouraged to participate. Self-nominations are welcome.
The nomination process only takes a few minutes. Nominators are encouraged to share what makes their teacher special, the difference they have made for students and why they deserve to be recognized.
Each nomination will be reviewed by a selection committee, which will choose 10 educators whose stories stand out.
The selected teachers will be announced October 5, with the celebration beginning October 12. For 10 consecutive days, Oklahoma Central Foundation will share the story of one of the selected teachers each day.
